Artist Statement
Photography begins with observation. With attention to light, space and what unfolds between people and their surroundings.
In portrait, architecture, landscape and street photography, I explore the relationship between form and presence. Sometimes I work in full control, carefully constructing light and composition. At other times, I respond to the unexpected. Two attitudes, one intention: revealing essence.
Lines, rhythm and structure play their part — as does the decisive moment. People may stand at the center, or provide scale and meaning within architecture and landscape. Light connects everything. It reveals, softens, defines and creates tension.
Technique supports the vision, but never leads it. What matters is attention, timing and framing. Slowing down when needed, acting quickly when the moment demands it.
In commissions, workshops and mentoring, the focus remains the same: learning to see. Developing a personal visual language shaped by precision, curiosity and room for experimentation.
For me, photography is not mere documentation, but a form of inquiry — into presence, form and the instant when everything comes together.
